The 5-Week PROGRAM will be as follows:
WEEK 1 - Getting famailiar with who you are, what are your strengths and weaaknesses and how to improve.
WEEK 2 - How to get off the ball QUICKER. How to CHANGE directions, How to STOP.
WEEK 3 - Focus, How to improve your concentration and funnel your energy into the moment.
WEEK 4 - Speed, How to react quicker, move faster and understand weight transfer.
WEEK 5 - Review & Score Learn game situations that will determine when to play safe and when to go for it.
TRYOUT PREP CAMP - LEARN WHAT IS EXPECTED IF YOU ARE GOING TO TRYOUT
Take one day a week and keep yourself ready so
when football starts, you'll have the skills necessary
to enhance your performance and increase your
chance of making the team.
GET ON THE BRAIN TRAIN - Tips for DEVELOPING The Mental Aspect - We offer
a one hour program called Mental
Toughness. This workshop stresses the importance of preparing yourself for game situations prior to playing in the
actual game. We'll discuss how to prepare yourself for intense competition and how you can use 20 minute intervals
to prepare physically and mentally for practically any situation. We'll teach proven techniques to help you prepare your
mind for game situations so you will know how to handle them once you get in those pressure packed game on the
LISTENING SKILLS - We also discussed how important listening is. When Coach Brown is teaching, you must listen and understand what is being said. If you do not understand, raise your hand and ask. Your teammates are counting on you to know what's going on while you are on the court. DECISION MAKING Good Decision Making - We reviewed the concept
of making good decisions in everything we do from getting enough rest , to what we eat for fuel , to how we behave in class,
to how we treat our teammates . Remember, what you do speaks volumes about who you are. Act like a winner and you will
be treated with respect. Act like a jerk and you will eventually lose the respect of your teammates.
